How dare I, in an alleged “Climate of Fear” flip the script and make the world my friend!? I know. It scares me to change my mindset from the dark to light. But it is not an option for me. In fact, it’s mandatory. This is not about being positive. It’s about survival. More, it’s about living the rest of my life with an open heart, and pouring out everything I have to make things better for those I leave behind.
I’ve hit a wall and I don’t believe I have a choice other than to re-frame the ideas planted in me at an early age: waiting like dormant viruses to prove I am alone in a hostile world. Those dormant ideas are activated by fear. So I have to go all Next Level and break those Survival Vows I made with my Young Self. Vows like: there is no one I can trust and besides I’m not really supposed to be here. Whether it was being adopted, I don’t know. Plenty of adopted adults don’t think that way.
